Bisococo cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and carefully handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

The effective date for the validity of these terms is 04/04/2023; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. Webshop software

WooCommerce
Our webshop is developed with WooCommerce software. Personal data that you make available to us for our services will be shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. WooCommerce is obligated, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.
WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.

WooCommerce hosting
Our webshop is developed with WooCommerce software, and we have chosen Siteground for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for our services will be shared with this party. Siteground has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Siteground is obligated, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

Webhosting

Siteground
We use Siteground for web hosting and email services. Siteground processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Siteground has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Siteground is bound by a confidentiality agreement.

Email and mailing lists

Klaviyo
Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that handles email traffic originating from our website and the sending of any newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via Klaviyo's servers. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email automatically sent via our website, you will see an 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this, you will no longer receive emails from our website. This can seriously reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data is securely stored by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Klaviyo reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties in that context.

Office365
We use Office365 services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie
To process (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use Mollie's platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymized) data with third parties in that context.
All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by legal terms.

Klarna
To process (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use Klarna's platform. Klarna processes your name, address, and residence details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Klarna has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Klarna reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymized) data with third parties in that context.
In the event of an application for deferred payment (credit facility), Klarna shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website.

PostNL
When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

DHL
When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence details with DHL. DHL uses this data only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

Exact Online
For keeping our administration and accounting, we use the services of Exact Online. We share your name, address, and place of residence details and details regarding your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is securely transmitted and stored. Exact Online is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Exact Online does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

External sales channels

Bol.com
We sell (a part of) our items via the Bol.com platform. If you place an order via this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you later – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask for your consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In some cases, Bisococo may be obliged by law to share your data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation by the government. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities offered by the law.

Retention periods

We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to be forgotten. This also means that we will not retain your data for longer than two years from the last contact moment or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced based on your assignment.
